Any dates for us regarding reissuing a true horshoe John? Looking at Jason Lollar website, he is not offering any horse shoe anymore. Does this classify as a clean market? If not, what will?

Case info is here, but you need a PACER account to read the files.

Paraphrasing from someone who was able to access the casefile, apparently Lollar has filed a motion to dismiss the suit based on several points. One of which being that RIC can't trademark a functional device that has already been patented. Maybe someone here can access the file and shed some light on it.

But won't you agree that the company has an obligation - perhaps only moral - to satisfy this demand, if you will not allow others to do so?
Agreed.
Either make them or allow other someone else to do so.

It looks like there was some activity in February:

I just heard from Lollar.
Here is what someone at the company said:
Yes, horseshoes are available on a limited, custom basis. We won’t stock them, but we can build bass and guitar versions to order.
They will be putting something on their site soon.

I wonder what the terms of the settlement were?

I am very happy to see we will have a source for a "true" magnetic horseshoe.

I still hope we will have a genuine Rickenbacker option in the (near?) future.

Hopefully there was a settlement that did advantage both parties.

Interesting indeed! I personally prefer the lower-output Lollar HS to the RI HS that came on my V63 - less punch but more clarity and treble response. A better approximation to the one real vintage HS I have heard. Nice to have the option without feeling shady....
