A Ric Creature On The Movie Make-Up Show FACE OFF

Post by Tommy »

On SyFy network there exists probably the best reality show going. The show is called FACE OFF and movie make-up people are given a weekly challenge to create something that might make it to the big screen. The creativity (design, drawing, sculpting, air-brush painting, working with various materials...) that comes from these contestants is at times mind blowing. Great show in which the standard reality TV fighting is non-existent. The show just gives us good people doing fine, creative work.

Well, this week's challenge was the contestants had to create a creature that became one with their guitar. They were given numerous guitars to choose from, and you can see one was a Rickenbacker:

One pair of contestants chose the Ric. Unfortunately their concept and final creation was the worst one of the week. For some reason the guy who chose the Ric said he immediately thought of rock-a-billy. Huh? So what he created was a rock-a-billy goat. Not a good decision. You can see how they incorporated the Ric into their make up, but you can also see that it was terribly done. But anyway, it was fun to see what someone could do with a Rickenbacker besides play it.

Here's the rock-a-billy goat inspired by George's Ric. George certainly did more with the guitar.:

I usually watch Faceoff. I missed it this week.
I could see transforming the 360WB shape into a butterfly, angel or something like that, not a horned goat-like creature.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Yeah. I didn't like what they did. They went freaky/psychedelic with their creation. They put the paisley pattern on the arm (that was cool), but the rest was ridiculously bad.

It's probably better that Paulie doesn't see this hideous creature someone has umm created out of the likeness a Rick doublebound guitar. It's not even ugly in a cool kind of way, just ugly. Paulie has had enough agita with school lately.

Thanks for that! Yeah, it is a bit rubbish.

Mind, I'm not sure I could do better.
