3001 wiring diagram

Post by corsa »

Does anyone have a wiring diagram or a picture of the wiring in a 3001 they could share?

Mine was abused by its previous owner and I'm trying to put it back to stock but I'm not confident in my reading of the schematic. On R3, are terminals 2 and 3 bridged together?

Also, from what I can tell from other threads, R1 and R3 (part number 07342) are 250k linear taper and R2 is 500k audio taper (part number 07341)?

I'd greatly appreciate any advice on this.

Have you looked at this?

Depending on what is considered lug 3, yes, the middle lug (wiper) and the lug that goes to R4 are tied together.

Thanks for the link. That is the schematic that I've been working from.

I'm numbering the lugs according to this image: Image

Going by the rule of thumb that lug 1 goes to ground when there is a ground as in R1 and R2, I'm extrapolating that to say that lug 2 and 3 are tied together on R3. But I'm not confident of that so I'm hoping to find a wiring diagram or picture of 3001 wiring so that I can confirm.

Thank you Brian! I didn't realize that there were pics of internals in the register.

Hey Jonathan,

Does that "solve the puzzle" for you? If not, I can take some shots of my 3001.
Watch those teeth, Marlin. I'm not sure we've properly sedated the beast . . .

Thanks Matt. I did finally find a wiring diagram. I'm going to dig in with that and the pics I could find in the Register. Assuming everything agrees when I get in there, I should be in good shape. If not, I'll get back in touch and take you up on your offer. Thanks very much!
