hard distorsion tone

ok masters :) we have a oldschool hardcore and crossover thrash band (like Prong,DRI etc) and want to buy a Rickenbacker guitar.which models are good for these genres ?

Well 330 and 360 models worked for Paul Weller during his Jam years.

620, 650 models are great for over the top disto!

What kind of amp are you using and pedals if any? Sounds like there is some gating going on as well. Jim Babjak from The Smithereens used heavy distortion through Marshall amps with his Ricks

i don't know something about pedals.he has a imac pro ad use protools program for efects.he want to use Orange amp with guitar.i'll be happy to see some suggestions for amps and efects too :roll:

I think in recent years Jim's played a 330 with HB's IIRC.

My 330 works perfectly for pretty much any clean/distorted/fuzzy sound, just throw in a fitting distortion - something on the thicker side like Digitech Bad Monkey or a BOSS Blues Driver might do the trick.
