Best places to buy Ricks?
Seems like Ebay suddenly is selling at a premium, what is going on?
Re: Best places to buy Ricks?
They have a great inventory. Will they discount like MF, GC or NCM?
Re: Best places to buy Ricks?
I've bought a few from Wildwood, their prices are generally quite good and they are great people to deal with...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...
Re: Best places to buy Ricks?
I have bought at both Pick of the Ricks and Wildwood and have had excellent experiences with both.

Re: Best places to buy Ricks?
I think Wildwood is a good spot. I bought multiple guitars from them once and they gave me a little deal.

Re: Best places to buy Ricks?
Guitar Center is not an authorized Rick dealer. Sam Ash is, but in-store inventory is not great (they seem to stock more Rick basses). As far as price....Ash prices are no bargain. You will do much better at "Pick of the Ricks" pricewise and Chris is a dyed in the wool Rick lover(I can personally attest to that). "Dave's Guitar" is also a well stocked Rick dealer, has good prices and excellent customer service. With "out the door store pricing", always remember Rickenbacker wholesale prices are the same for any authorized dealer...whether a small shop or a big chain w/ tons of overhead which actually can give an advantage to the lower overhead small independent shop to price more aggressively over the big high overhead chains.
Re: Best places to buy Ricks?
This is no longer the case as they do carry them in their Platinum Room stores...Rickadelphia wrote:Guitar Center is not an authorized Rick dealer...

Re: Best places to buy Ricks?
I have recently read where several people have ordered/gotten the new "W" series through GC.
Re: Best places to buy Ricks?
Yes, there are YouTube spots with Ben plugging the "W" series at 2014 NAMM with the GC "reporter". GC offers RICS now.

Didn't know that GC had become an authorized Rick dealer again. I still think you can get a better deal on a new Rick from independents like "Pick of the Ricks", "Dave's", or "Wildwood".cjj wrote:This is no longer the case as they do carry them in their Platinum Room stores...Rickadelphia wrote:Guitar Center is not an authorized Rick dealer...

Yeah, it was "announced" a couple of years ago: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=405273&p=750882&#p750882
You certainly will get more personalized service from the smaller stores...
