I went to a jam session tonight and lo and behold THIS was there!!!! I saw it when I walked in , dropped directly to my knees and pulled a classic Wayne's World "we're not worthy" .. those that knew me knew what I was freaking out about and the owner was kind enough to oblige me a photo and a couple strums on it ....

He said he's had it for quite a while. He was a very nice fellow in his 70s or 80s and really admired how I instantly recognized it as a '59 Capri. We got to talking and he apparently swapped a Martin for it sometime ago. He didn't go into too much detail but I did give him my number and told him I'm actually a bassist and one of these days we'll have to get together and let his Rickenbacker and some if it's great,great grand-nephews make some music.
Next time I see him, I'll offer to put it in the registry for him if he's not able to do it himself
