Loving the tone from the new walnut 4003, really does have a great growl, very light too much lighter than my 2013 jetglo, finish was superb another great set up job by ric 2 in a row now !!the nut is being cut much better these days not as high as they used to be cut, just makes all the difference in playability. nothing to moan about, action was a bit high but easily sorted. another fine 4003.

What a beauty! I'd love a 4004 version with binding and triangle inlays.

Watch those teeth, Marlin. I'm not sure we've properly sedated the beast . . .

I did just that today,at Apple Music,in Portland. I played the 4003 for a quite a bit through an nice amp, noting the bass felt pretty light, and had one of the nicest feeling neck profiles of any newer Ricks I've played. Action was set up fairly nice too. Then i discovered they had a mid -90's Ci on consignment. Having never seen one in person,I swapped them out,and the Ci was even quite a bit lighter and even more contoured and sleek feeling than either my Laredo and Cii. I REALLY loved it,but had to leave it there!
