Yes, the 4000 was definitely a set neck. Purchased in Nashville at Sho-Bud on Broadway, I believe.

Fender: 1983 Elite Precision Bass II, 2008 Deluxe (MIM) Jazz Bass V, 1968 Telecaster Custom

Guitarist insurgency:
Saturday, March 8th, at the San Juan Capistrano Coach House, opening for Gene Loves Jezebel, and Bow Wow Wow:
First song, playing "Big Red":

Big Red decided to break a string after the first song, so I switched to the Blue Boy:

There is no reason to ever be bored.

...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...

"Uh, I like the double bounds. . . ."

Late '80s playing my '74 4001. Classy rehearsal space huh? And I must have sprained my wrist in a tragic hair brushing accident...

Early '90s playing one of Mike Mills' old Ricks at a Georgia recording studio. Not my bass, it was the property of the studio.

A few years ago with my Monty Brown 4003. These days the best pictures are the ones that don't show my face or the top of my head!

Sadly I can't find any live shots with me and my beloved 3001....

Here's one of me at our jam last weekend. I'm posing a bit, yeah, but we had to stop playing for my drummer to snap the (caca cell phone) pic, so...

Been a while since I've gigged with a 4001. It's usually always a 4004Cii, but for a Deep Purple Tribute band like Perfect Strangers, a 4001 gets the nod.
Being Roger Glover like with a Glenn Hughes style (FG) 4001. I think this Friday at our next gig, I'll use the '73 4001 JG, much more Glover-like.
Many of the So Cal guys already know Vicky to the left (Ecuababe Rock on FB) from jams and Victoria's Circuit.

The JETGLO finish name should be officially changed to JETGLO ROCKS! :-)
