Antiques Roadshow (PBS) and Ric!

Post by RickyBubba »

Don't forget that today's episode has lots of Ric content, and the website has a teaser about a factory tour. Can't watch online yet, so tune in tonight on TV!

I'm actually really looking forward to it as it's been so long since it was shot that I can't remember much of what was said. Also, it will be interesting to see how they edited it all together, from all the bits they shot. The only thing I know for sure is that there's a short factory tour, some chit-chat between Mark Walberg and me in the assembly area, an overview of my collection, and an appraiser giving an opinion on a few items.

I have to say also, that Marsha Bemko, the executive producer for this show, is really an interesting person and I'm glad I had the chance to meet her. While, on the one hand, she runs an obviously tight ship, she also really delegates well to a superb crew and gives them the room to do their job with little interference.

I was smart when you hinted to this a while back Mr. Hall…and put it on my electronic calendar to remind me!

Thanks Dave! Nice job Mr. Hall.... of course no bass content, that would have stolen the show completely!

Come to think of it I've never seen a vintage bass on the Roadshow. Just a handful of iconic American guits.

It was a decent clip, and good for Ric, but shame about no bass content.

They could have done an appraisal on a bass also?? Gotta have a few laying around don't ya? LoL.

BBC programs often get piped over here by CPB/PBS. Maybe this is a two-way street? (Some BBC affiliate picks up original PBS shows? Although I doubt you guys are interested in all of the "Watch Someone Drinking Guinness In Ireland/Red Wine In Tuscany" shows. This Old House is pretty cool though!)

Tim, the St. Paul show was right after the Anaheim show. I'm guessing you were a show late.
