Oh man, bass lust! I noticed something new on the walnut basses: they are continuing the neck taper right through the body, which is different (isn't it?) from the old bodies where the neck was only tapered from the neck heel to the nut. I suppose with new CNC machinery, this is easily cut. I really like the gloss finish, makes the walnut grain pop.

I like both oil and varnish finishes. The grain in the walnut really looks great with the gloss varnish.
