4003 Cameo On Law & Order
Posting this for the hell of it. Was watching one of my favorite shows today at spotted a Rick. The episode is from 2003. Briscoe calls it a "guitar" and Green corrects him, even name dropping it as a Rickenbacker.

Haha, posted back in 2002 when the episode first aired! (Typo on my part in the OP) Well for any inquiring minds it was Season 13, Episode 4 "Tragedy on Rye".
Green says "It's a bass, a Rickenbacker" and Briscoe asks "Is that good?" to which Green replies "It was good enough for Elvis Costello".
