I just stopped by my local Guitar Center and the Platinum Manager did not seem to know anything about these models. I showed him the flyer and then he started checking on their computer system. He said it appears that some other locations have them but he doesn't know if they will be getting any. I inquired about the selling price and after more checking he said both the 1996 and the 360/12 GH are priced at $3839 and there will be no discounts. He then told me that their agreement with Rickenbacker does not allow them to sell any Rickenbacker product for less than MSRP.

Absolutely and totally incorrect. What IS true and what he may have said to you is that we don't allow dealers to ADVERTISE any price less than MSRP. (There are certain exceptions for special sales up to 30 days duration.)

The 1996 in Fairfax is $3489

Does anyone know the spec's for the 360/12 GH ?

It appears to have 21 frets instead of the standard 24. I'm not sure of the neck radius, if it's 7 1/4, like the 12c63 or 10".

Totally wild guess, but I'm thinking they're probably C63 necks. I'd love to know about the binding though.

I should mention that Guitar Center still has another model coming as well, maybe as early as next month.

Let me give you guys a clue how you might see it.

Very cool! Thanks for posting, Mr. H.
I found a:
360/12GH (still can't see if it has CB)
4001S
1996
360C63 (?)
360/12 RED
Did I miss any?

I can't see the CB, but it does have a rounded neck heel. One of them is local to me, strangely. Talk about rubbing my tight-on-funds nose in it.

This wasn't a CIA worthy task but I'm glad someone was up to the task of figuring it out from my clue!

Now figure out which one is for GC and which one is for Germany! BTW, the new shade of Red is Fire Alarm Red.

I saw one of the 360/12 models at GC today. The front of the tag said 360/12 GC and on the back of the tag it is listed as a 360/12 SPC.

No CB on it and it appeared to have the standard 10" fingerboard radius.
