good Rick 4001 luthier in New England?

Post by rictified »

My 79 4001 needs a good fret job or at least a fret leveling, does anyone know a good luthier in New England who knows Rick 4001 basses? The closer to Massachusetts the better, I would rather not ship it if possible.

Mouradian Guitar in Winchester MA.

Both Jim and his son Jon do top-notch (and often-times miracle) work at very fair prices. And they are just the nicest guys in the world.

They do run 4 to 6 weeks out as a rule, so I would suggest calling ahead.
Watch those teeth, Marlin. I'm not sure we've properly sedated the beast . . .

Another suggestion is Glenn Nelson of Mockingbird Music Co. in Berlin, Ma. He's an excellent luthier that I've used.

Thanks you guys, I'll give both of them a call when I'm ready, I have heard of both of them also.
