Do you have this wired VVT for the rest of the pots?

Thank you Jeff!!! :D It's actually just got the standard RIC round wounds on it, I cant stand flats!

Thanks for the correction; the close up shot of the fingerboard when zoomed in some gave me the impression the strings were flats.

Well,that didn't turn out half-bad!

That is seriously one of the best looking basses I've ever gazed upon. (And i recently gazed on a factory white 4005, also cool)
Congratulations!

Congratulations! Definitely a cool mesh of old and new. I'd make my own tweaks to it, of course, which is probably why RIC isn't going to reissue the model any time soon -- I imagine it is hard to agree on exactly how to do something for standard production.

It is neat to see the Hi-Gains with different pole spacings on the bobbin, it makes the idea of a (non-HB-1 equipped) 4002 seem more possible. Now if only they'd make the bridge pickup RWRP...

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Brendan:

I think it is really cool that you added your new bass to the Register! :D

Don't forget to add some pics to the entry as well. Also I think under Special "Ric-One-Off" would apply.

As to the finish "Custom" is what I would choose.

So how does it play and sound? I confess to being very curious as to how it sounds. Perhaps you could do a quickie you tube vid so we can all hear it.
