I know that it would be the best of both worlds
having a Rickenbacker and Gretsch. For me I can
only have one so when I started playing back in
1988 after a twenty year layoff I bought a 360
Rickenbacker it was a very easy guitar to play.
I have played others since then like PRS, Steinberger. Fender Tele and a Reissue Vox Teardrop also Parker Fly. Because I play 60's
music and Rickenbacker was a big part of that
era I wanted to get back to that sound. Where I
live most people play Fender it seems to be the
in guitar. I want to be different if the Rickenbacker was good enough for John Lennon
its good enough for me. A friend of mine had a
350V63 in Maple Glow and a Vox HWH & 212 Cab
and he let me use it at his house and that
sounded great so I think that the 350V63
Jet Glow that I'm getting will sound great thru
my AC-30TBX.

Now I understand! "Artist" I thought to mean "Musician". Apparently you paint guitars? Do you have any links to pics of your work?
Lou: The combination of the 350V63 and the AC30TBX is just what you want for that '60s stuff! I'm green-glo with envy. BTW, I'm trying to decide between North Coast's Super Beatle rebop and that beautiful tan AC30 they sell. Any advice from the oldsters re: quality, authenticity, etc.? I'm leaning toward the tan AC30, but I just can't get that stadium look out of my blood...

“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”

Gentlemen: Not too off track. Right now, on a "Rickenbacker quality" thread, there's a discussion of Ferraris.
Small world? Here in California, in the early '90s, I used to date a girl from Newton Abbot, Devon. Yesterday I was talking to my favorite coffee-shop waitress, who's a Brit, and asked her where she's from? Yup. Newton Abbot. BTW, her parents , still there, live in Torquay...

I suspected that Teignmouth & the surrounding district was the center of the universe. It's nice here, in the South West of England.
I wonder if Mr Hall would consider moving the Rickenbacker factory here? I'd help with the move!

'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

The Deal did not work out some of the pedals
that I would have traded did not work. So what
I'm going to do is save my money and then buy
the Rickenbacker. That way I would have the best
of both worlds a Gretsch and a Rickenbacker.

I love it over in Teignmouth I am usually found wandering about in Shaldon on a Sunday morning and slurping coffee at the Clipper. I run the Theatres Arts and Events Dept at Torbay
Anyway can somebody tell me does playing the 325C58 make playing those stretched 7th bar chords £1500 worth of easier, does it make the 5 fret stretch without pain??? You know like Kansas City in G

Blueburst, I really like this color for 2005
so I will have to order my 350V63 in that color.
The jet Glow 350V63 has been sold and I'm glad that I waited to see the new color. The 350V63
will be different because I don't know anyone
with that color. Tony for me to get that I will
sell my Gretsch. Between the two I would pick
the Rickenbacker over the Gretsch. Keeping the
Gretsch would be good, but I just like Rickenbacker better. The 350V63 with an AC-30TBX
that the sound.
