Carla Olson posted on facebook looking for her Stolen 620...
"This is my first post to the Ricky page. I had this guitar made by FC in 1980 and he offered me some checkerboard binding that he found in the warehouse. It was an azureglo 620. Seymour Duncan changed out the pickups for me to two toasters which were much hotter than the ones Rickenbacker was currently offering. I played this guitar until 1988 when it was stolen from S.I.R. If anyone ever runs across my one of a kind please let me know. Thanks! Carla Olson."
Anyone ever seen a 1980 AZ 620 with Checkered binding?

Obviously the answer is no, being that those of us who are aware of this unique instrument would immediately recognize it as being Carla's and report it post haste.Ontario_RIC_fan wrote:"... Anyone ever seen a 1980 AZ 620 with Checkered binding? ...

It was a rhetorical question...

I did not know the guitar had been stolen until now.
Plus it was a nice picture to share.

I wonder if she knows the serial number.
There is no reason to ever be bored.
...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...

I started to beat a dead horse and decided to edit, then remove my post.
Re: Carla Olson posted on facebook looking for her Stolen 62
But, I totally agree with beating this particular one. It seems to primarily be self serving in this one person's case, like he is winning awards or points or something. Especially so , when encroaching on someone who has been violated.jdogric12 wrote:I started to beat a dead horse and decided to edit, then remove my post.

Re: Carla Olson posted on facebook looking for her Stolen 62
Huh?
Asking folks to be on the look out for a stolen Rickenbacker - that by searching the other threads here - NO ONE knew was stolen - is somehow demonstrating my superiority to the rest of you guys??
Carla made the original post on Facebook - All I did was repost it here. I assume she did that because she wanted her 620 back.
If there is an award on the RRF for being a jerk - well I know who I will be nominating.
With all due respect... Time to let the angst about the RRF register and those who collect such information go. It has been 6 months now that this **** has been going on... Move along and find something else to knash your teeth over.
