And that's from the guy who wrote the book about them! :)

We men, always have excuses for these sorts of things ;)

Nah, you didn't get my joke :). Think sexist and horrible. I can't say more as it would be totally inappropriate :)

There are, of course, some jack plates that do not necessarily indicate authenticity - specifically those swapped out from another Rick by unscrupulous luthiers...

OK, got it. My memory is a little fuzzy on that issue. 8)

Hello all
Yeah it was quite a drive but completely worth it. Gigged it a week later and loved it completely. It's quite a change for me as all my other basses are 5 string, active and my main bass is a 35 inch scale. So I'm relearning stuff in different positions. Worth it though!!
The band thought it was great too. Love the sound, look and feel. Why did I not get one before?

Have posted a new topic, doubt it's new to you chaps, but I'm hoping for some advice on how I can boost the output of the e string which seems lower than the adg?

Will send info to register it to me and some pics too when I get chance.

Cheers all, greetings from Somerset UK!

Very cool! I just bought a custom instrument from a recently retired luthier in Pilton - small world. Glad you are enjoying the bass!
