I didn't want to offend my sister, but he looks a little less intimidating with his paws crossed in that foo-foo way.

Funny thing too is that he's a complete wuss.

I can't get over how great that Burgundyglo looks. Amazing color, white binding with black guard and TRC, ½-inch spacing. It's got it all.

I like it too....but I'd put a black treble p/u surround and black tailpiece on it...for continuity, of course...

I mean the bass, not the dog!

thanks ron,i sent it to mark a couple of months ago he went over it refixed a poped fretboard crack ,adjusted the neck, it had some routing under the treble pickup he filled this in with cut maple glued and sanded ,rounded the edges of the pickguard totally reworked the bridge,rewired the electronics to fac. look and specs...i can go on. anyway it plays beautifully the action is low ,i had to raise the bridge the action was almost too low.the only other thing i want to do is add a hi gain instead of the horseshoe[im with jeff on this one]

Steve - why was I thinking you had a fireglo C64 -was that a V63 fireglo that I'm thinking of? When did you get the 64S - I must have missed that - looks great!
How do you like the Wasburn? I have a Guild B50 fretless - its a big sucker but what a sound!

Andy, that was a V63 that I posted pictures of next to the C64s when we were comparing the additional carving at the back heel on the C64s.
Took delivery of the C64s in early 2004.
I just haven't posted any pictures of the Fireglo C64, maybe next gig that one will go along, it has nylon tapes on it right now from studio work but I think I see a 4003 FL purchase looming on the horizon. (o;}

I like the Washburn a lot, the B-Band pickups and EQ took some getting used to but they are not that bad for stock. The cut-away helps with the noodling in the upper octaves on acoustic tunes. I did go with the T.I. nylon core phospher bronze strings and just love those, they don't tear up the callouses like other higher tension strings do on an ABG, besides I have a pretty light touch and it helps to have a looser tensioned string to get the sound I want.

The C64s is strung with Pyramids while the 4003 still has factory rounds on it.

Thanks! I don't know if it'd be a disappointment, but it *is* a refin (quite a few years ago), although it's refinished exactly as it was originally. I'm just curious - what is the attraction to the 1/2" spacing? I've seen that comment alot (not about mine - you guys are the first online bunch to see my collection), and am wondering about it. Of all the cool things about Ricks, that feature is only something I've picked up on since being here.

Some say you can get a more acute sound, however - since I've only every really owned 1/2" spacing Rics, I couldn't compare it to anything else.

Oh - and it looks better in that position, too. It's where a Toaster should be!
