Using Rickenbacker Strings on Your Rickenbacker

Robert: If you are satisfied with Fender Stainless Steel Flats I am reasonably sure you would be very pleased with the feel and the sound of Pyramid Flats for your 4001.

Peter-Maybe you should go into advertising. What you wrote sounds like a pretty good "beginners" advertisement. Maybe I'll try a set next time I change strings. Any other pretty good brands? Any perticular brand to stay away from?

P.S. Peter-Do you get a profit off of Pyramid strings when you advertise? Just wondering.

I don't deny, however, that talking about all things Rickenbacker is bound to generate some profit for those companies who post here. My goal has been to learn all about and to promote Rickenbacker guitars as a hobby.

The original string supplied on Rickenbaker 4001 basses in the sixties was a set made by Maxima in a gauge approximating 45-103. In order to put to rest all of the questions with regard to output, tension, sound, durability and 'feel', this is the set all others have to be compared to.
