Guitars with battries

Post by brian »

I read on another forum a suggestion that a guitar with active electronics and a battery should be stored without the battery. According to the topic not doing so could lead to corrosion in the controls. Has anyone experienced this ? Does the same thing apply to Rickenbackers with batteries ?

That is true of any battery operated device if it will be in fairly long term storage.

The 381 JK does! Doesn't the 360RM also?
