My first electric guitar is a Ric 360/12, with a Byrds JB2 compressor unit. I am now a "lead" guitar player, but a 6 string sound is what they want, not so much the early Byrds sound. So my next guitar is on the way to me, a Duesenberg Starplayer TV Deluxe, semi hollow body.
For my updated pedal board lineup, I would like to keep the JB2 in use. Most other guitar players do use a compressor, such as the BOSS unit. I hope that the JB2 will be sufficient as my all purpose compressor pedal. In the opinion of those more knowledgeable than myself:
1. What might the difference be between the JB2 and so many other compressor pedals that are available?
2. Might there be any reason to have a second compressor pedal of a different make?
3. Why does the JB have such a large housing compared to other makes of compressor pedals?
Thank you!
Craig

I got a fast answer by emailing to Janglebox.com. As a result I don't see any need to obtain any other compressor pedal to use for my purposes.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I have an original JB1 and use it with my Gretsch 5120. Sounds great.idealassets wrote:I got a fast answer by emailing to Janglebox.com. As a result I don't see any need to obtain any other compressor pedal to use for my purposes.
