"R" tailpiece

Post by MrSpaceman »

Hi everyone!

So the "R" tailpiece on my 340-12 has finally given in and broke apart.

I'm currently living in the UK, but Rosetti (the official distributor here) does not sell it at all, and neither does RickySounds.

I'd be more than glad to get a new one from Pick of the Ricks, but apparently they don't ship outside America.

I've seen the replacement trapeze and harp designs, but I'd like to keep the original look of the guitar if possible.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I had exactly the same problem just a few months ago. I had Chris from PickoftheRicks ship the R-tailpiece to a friend of mine in the US who then forwarded it to me here in Germany. I reimbursed shipping costs to my friend via PayPal. Maybe one of the US-based forumites is kind enough to help you out in this case...

I forgot to mention that of course I had to return the broken tailpiece to Chris at POTR first! I'm really glad nothing got lost in any of the 3 shipments...

Hi.....

Did you get fixed up with your "R" tailpiece?? I have a genuine one that I would be prepared to sell, having recently replaced the tailpiece on my 620-12 with a trapeze type.

Please get in touch if this is any help to you.............(or anyone else who may want/need one)!!
only my opinion of course!

Hi. Do you still have the tailpiece and is it a 12 string type? I'm stuck with the same problem as mine broke on my 360/12.
