The waiting...

Post by bassman4001 »

I wonder if Tom Petty wrote the song because he was waiting for a new Rickenbacker he ordered back then…lol

Tom waits for no one! I heard Mick Jagger say that once...

No, I think Jagger said "Tom Tom Tom is on my side." Pretty sure.

Some say there's a village in Kenya that's missing theirs, but I wouldn't know about that.

Well, you guys joke, but Mick did have a very bad reaction(in song) to the discovery that Hugh Hefner and Dennis Weaver were having an affair.

"I said, Hey, Hey, Hugh, Hugh, get off of McCloud."

Its all there in the lyrics, for those who take the time to listen carefully....

Funny, when I ordered a 650 Dakota about 15 years ago I was told "six to eight months". It showed up 2 weeks later.

Really put a crimp in my budget, as I was hoping for some of that "six to eight months" to save up some money so I could actually afford the guitar.

Part of the wait is almost over, the Jetglo Fretless is on the truck to be delivered today.

Waiting phase II now begins while the package and case acclimatise from Perth to Seattle !
