It has a bound fingerboard. Someone here said (Jared?) that the 4008 had a bound fingerboard.

yep that is a 4008 bass ... NOT a 4003s8 ... the tuner location and headstock shape are different ...

Is that pick guard original? I’ve never seen an all original with a different colored TRC and PG.

I like the price on the V63 though – good for us V63 guys!

True in one sense, but I'm thinking about another. !!!!

The more I use my v63 the happier I am with it

In the UK in one of the vintage guitar shops that 8 string would probably set you back going on £1995 UK, about twice the price it's up for.

yes 4008, bound neck, cut-up tailpiece, cannot see reversed octave stringing tho.

I don't think that those features make it worth 1995 though!!

I always consider the dealer price on a used guitar to be about 20% higher than a private party price. I attribute this to "inventory costs", i.e., the cost of having the item in inventory for how ever long it takes to sell.

I bought my 1990 Blackstar a number of years ago from a dealer in Florida, through GuitarBase, because it was actually priced at typical market value (at that time) and not 20% higher.
