I would say $2700 to $2500 is a more likely starting place if you want to sell it.

Often the high end of the spectrum is overseas Ebay sales from the UK or Europe - RICS are relatively rarer there then they are in North America and hence tend to sell for more.

Also as it is a leftie - there are fewer LH folks looking for a RIC bass. So fewer people wanting one.

On the positive side - it is a very early example of a reissue of Maccas own bass... So your odds of shifting it are certainly higher then if it were a lefty 3001 or 2030 instead! :D

I agree. Realistically, at the moment, you might get $2300 because of the reversed headstock and if the right buyer comes along. I bought my v63 for $2600 in February of last year, which was a fair price at the time. However, since I bought my 4003 in October 2013, prices on left-handed Ricks have dropped by almost $500.

A fireglo lefty 4001v63 PMC recently went for north of $3500 on eBay.
All lefty: 1982 4003S 1996 330/12 1993 4003S

If I was listing a 1st year lefty V63 with magnetic HS, It would be $3,500.00.
Rarity trumps the current market, IMO.
