'68 4001 truss rod channels (in the body)
Hi people,
I was wondering if anyone who has a '68 4001 could advise how long the truss rod channels in the body should be?

The channels probably varied a bit depending on when the master truss rod channel cutter decided to stop cutting the channel.

They varied quite a bit.
Some early '68s had channels that extended all the way to the treble pickup cavity.

They really don't need to be very long, just enough to allow the rods to push back a bit if you need to extract them from the neck.
