It's gorgeous, I like the checkered binding, not sure if I can justify dishing out over 3900.00 for it.

Yes, special editions made by RIC for the Japanese market. There was a jetglo posted on eBay a few months ago and I'm sure it was for less. For some reason $2500 rings a bell. Very very nicely done. I suppose it's like the limited quantity of White, TVY, and green 4003's that PotR had made a few years back and the 50th Beatles anniversary GC bass. RIC does do custom, but a dealer has to place an order. I think PotR had 5 of each color. teh GC bass, not sure how many were made. I'm thinking 50+??

I saw a few guitars like these for sale on ebay by a dealer based in Thailand, only difference was that they were 620 models...

For some reason, I think the late Phil Lynott would aspire to one of those mirrored guards. They make me think of Thin Lizzy.
