Just saw another new JG for $1,799 BIN (no affil.) - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wonderful-Ricke ... 1706408149. I don't know Chris's prices but this seems like a good deal and there's no waiting.

There is at least one place that has them for $1350. $1799 isn't even a good price on a standard 4003, which usually can be had for around $1600.

Ooops... I stand corrected. It's been a long time since I've been in the market for a new bass. I'm more of a used/vintage/natural relic ;-) kinda bass buying guy. I remembered finding a gorgeous new MG 4003 for a friend for $1,500 which was at the time a great deal - I got the tip here on this forum. I think that was 4-5 years ago.

Such as where?

There are at least two stores here in Seattle that typically price a new 4003 around $1600

If you're still looking for one, Pittsburgh Guitars has one in FG looking for a new home.

Here she is ... wonderful low fast action, almost as light as my 73, sounds wonderful even with stock strings.

This is her at Bass Northwest

Like that "dark Fireglo." Is that like the dark fire that comes out of a Jet?
