I got mine today, and it's going right back.

The level of buzzing/humming from the pups is simply unusable - I've owned a good few Rics before, and the buzzing was never anywhere near as loud as this. It was overpowering!

I could have had another, but I've opted for a refund. Sad, as the bass is a picture. :(

Sorry to hear, I'm wondering if it's an issue with the specific bass, plunging mine in last night she's as quiet as any of my others and quieter than my 73.

My mapleglo left Wildwood today in route to Florida. Stoked to get it middle of next week. I'll post a pic and brief review once it shows up.

That you sent the bass back for a refund makes me think you didn't want one that bad. I'm pretty sure they all don't buzz like that. The stock wiring in newer Ricks is lame, but not THAT lame.

How about some red oak and white oak? This was delivered yesterday afternoon along with several sheets of red oak veneered plywood. 8)

I'm a big fan of oak trim. Love the tight grain and the way it takes stain! As for instruments, it's probably not a good choice. I can't remember ever seeing an instrument made from oak. Oh and that does not look like any part of the RIC factory that I've ever seen. It looks like an attic. :D

I think I do recall seeing at least one made from oak, somewhere.

The Five Amish are building bookcases and installing the trim right now. :D

Just wondering if these Amish will work on an electric bass guitar?
