I ordered a new 4003 Mapleglo.

What's the pickup height for a 4003 please ?

They are globally adjustable height and individual poles are adjustable.

I thought I saw 3/32" as a starting height somewhere?

The output is good on the 4003 ? This is High output or Low ouput please ?

you adjust the pickup height to taste and what sound you are looking for, as i explained on facebook . cheers George

As George says, it's really to taste, but 3/32" is a good starting point (~ 2.5 mm). The specs for a Fender J bass are 5/64" for the bridge PU and 7/64" for the neck. Since the 4003 PUP's are a bit closer to the neck (where the string vibrations will be a little larger) 1/8" might be a good start too.
