Who likes what? I've used flats for years on my P-basses what do you think?

SIT flats sound great on my 4001. I like them better than the TI's which for me are just a tad to floppy.

Just played a gig with my new 4003, which sports a very used set of T.I. Flats. Nice punchy, articulate fundamental tone; really like how the D & G strings cut through in the FOH mix.

I used TI Jazz Flats on my v63 during the late 90s and early oughts, and liked them.

But someone here recommended the Ernie Ball 45-105 flats number 2814 I think they are. I'm going to try a set on my 4003s when it arrives...

For years I have sworn by TI JF344's, but recently tried Ernie Ball flats and I absolutely love them.

Ilan, I believe you were the one who referred me to the Ernie Ball flats, did I get the numbers right? I'm working from memory, the string set is on my coffee table right now, waiting for a 4003s to bond with!

Had some "me" time on the stage of my regular gig last night. I plugged my new 4003 with TI JF-344s into my Avalon U5 and through the house system and my Aviom IEMs. I can't describe in great detail what I heard from this combination, but it was clear, sweet, and somewhat percussive. Kind of reminded me of Greg Lake's tone on "From the Begging". Really liking these strings.

We are doing that song, however, we are going to start from the beginning before we stoop to begging.

I will most likely be playing the Snowglo 4004L with the TI JFs on it, wonderful tone!

I got them on my 71 21r and I love them. They are dark, but I like the feel. I was getting bored with TIs and
only have one NOS, long scale, set of Maximas so the LaBellas did the trick...
