Get a 660, the neck width is ideal for 12 strings. 8)

What about the thickness of the 660/12 and 620/12? Are they similar to the 330 and 360/12 in thickness? Are the changes from year to year basically the same?

I've got a '98 330/12VP in the classifieds that I just now bumped to the top, if you care to have a look...
I can do an extensive neck-measuring job (and take a gob of pics) if you're interested...
Great guitar, but I'm looking to turn it into a 660/12 for the neck size...

EDIT:

Mine is 7/8" as well...

Bruce, thanks for the heads up. The measurement of 7/8" is the reason I am returning the 330/12 I have. Evidently by 1998 The necks began to get thicker. I am not committed to a certain year, just the thinner around 3/4" depth which is why I liked the 1996 model.

Well I returned the 12 string yesterday. Nice that GC was no problem. Now to find the slim neck and model I am looking for. The official forum said that the C series and V series were supposed to have thin neck profiles. Are they any experiences with the various models? I might be interested in a 620 12 also if I could find one in good shape with a thin neck.

I have a '14 620/6. The neck profile is what I would describe as a slim to medium D shape...it's not what I would describe as particularly chunky; slim enough to get around on with ease but with just enough girth to comfortably support my old hand and keep it from cramping. Just to note: I have very small hands with slim fingers and I don't find the neck to be "big". Being a D shape, the neck has a bit of "shoulder" to it while not being overly thick front to back.

Would you mind measuring from the top of the fret board to the back near the first fret? So far I have not found anyone that is narrower than 7/8" like the 2005 one I had. I am wondering if the shape is the problem. If yours has the rounder shoulder, maybe there is a model out there that is less than 7/8."

If anyone is interested, I did return the 2005 model, and bought a 2008 that has a thinner neck as Jason suggested. The vintage reissue and C models that I found on Ebay that the sellers measured for me were the thicker sizes, if we are measuring the same way. They are supposed to be thinner, but one was almost an inch thick.

The seller of the 330/12 I got told me it was 13/16" which is slightly thicker than my Epiphone Dot, but noticeably more comfortable than the later models I have found. This one was set up well and in beautiful condition. So, I am now officially with you all!
