Are these Ric knobs?

Post by farace »

I was digging through a bunch of old knobs I have for electronics projects and found I have a couple of Rickenbacker-like knobs, but they're black and silver instead of brown and gold. Were these ever used on a Ric?

Black and silver rather than the brown and gold? Wow, I'd like those. They would definitely fit it on Rics with chrome pickups and black knobs.

A guy here a few years ago was going to have a batch of those black/silver knobs made and he was going to sell a few to Ric owners. The brown and gold ones are cool, but they really don't fit in any color palette of Rics.

Nice find. Who cares if they are stock Ric equipment. Keep them and put them on your Ric.

You wouldn't be the first person to customize knobs on your guitar. A certain gentleman with the initials JWL (later JOL) comes to mind....
