TV sighting
Don't know if this "beer" is marketed where you are, but there's a recent TV ad for Redd's Strawberry Ale that's staged in a club. The cute gal asks the drummer (heyyyyy, wait just a minute here . . .) what he's drinking. Suddenly there's this avalanche of strawberries as he replies "Redd's Strawberry Ale." Anyway, the gal bass player is taking off her bass for the break, and it appears to be a 4001V63. All that you can see clearly is the neck, and it is has dot position markers and dark head wings. Figuring the commercial was made before the reintroduction of the 4003S, it must be a V63 (no reverse headstock, so it ain't a C64). Of course the Rickenbacker lettering is covered with white tape.

Can't see it in the commercial. It's behind people in foreground. Here it is:

That's my son Justin who is playing the role of the drummer.

Really? Cool! It would have been even cooler had he been the bass player getting the offer, but I guess a fusillade of rubber strawberries bounce better off symbols!T28 wrote:That's my son Justin who is playing the role of the drummer.

Grew up in a house with music 24/7 and he doesn't play a damn thing.
He decided to pick another profession that doesn't pay **** unless you hit the big time..... acting.

Re: TV sighting
I'd say the strawberries were deeply cymbalic...
