Darryl,

OK, I know nothing about the way "the business" works. I did not got to college to study business but I have purchased a ton of stuff in my lifetime. I think I know the basic fundamentals of business but "the business" not a clue.

Why don't you explain it. It may be helpful in avoiding angst. Perhaps the mods can pin the topic so everyone can refer to it when confused.

The fact you have made purchases in your life does not make you unique. Why would a retailer have any knowledge of what has been shipped to his competition? Any manufacturer would be engaged in collusion by directing the flow of materials to one vendor over another. For POTR to engage in that practice would violate his dealer agreement.

Before your misplaced anger goes any further, you should realize that less than half of the people who ordered the traditional 4003W have still not received their instruments either and those orders were placed a full year before the 4003S was introduced.

I am certain that Chris takes the utmost care and places great concern with fulfilling customers needs, it is not an easy task to hear the disappointment in a customers calls or emails about the flow of supplies and instruments. It is all taken to heart and dealt with as quickly and personally as possible.

I am not trying to insult you or your intelligence and if you feel that I did I apologize. If you had made your displeasure known before taking to the forum and opening a debate engaging in speculation of a man's business practices, my comment would have been avoided.

Contact the man personally, I guarantee he will make it right.

I'm not sure this will add any light on the matter, but in dealing with ordering parts through my local Ric dealer, I can see their frustration in placing orders and hoping that what they ordered will come in. They told me there often is very little rhyme or reason as to what will get shipped and when, and very little communication from Ric as to what items in a partial fulfillment are in the carton they sent and what was held back. It's "we'll have to wait and see what's in the box when it gets here," as they throw their hands in the air. They love Rickenbacker's instruments, but they hate the guessing as to when orders (regardless of whether instruments or small parts) will arrive. Can't blame the dealer for Ric's seemingly random order fulfillment.

Jdog, you should know me better than that. There is a purpose and a reason behind everything I do. Jousting windmills is not my style.

Thery're an authorized dealer so they have to advertize list. I am sure it's cheaper out the door but I can't go check today. Give 'em a call :D

I completely see Sepp's point, and since Sepp and I know something we can't share here, his ranting is completely in line on this thread.

If the rant is based on something that can't be shared, don't share the rant either then. That ain't right.

What a BS move. Let's not pretend that you're not waving it over everybody's head like you're in with the cool kids who have inside information.

People who do stuff like that just **** me off.

And seriously, if ANYONE is unhappy with POTR, just cancel the order and move on instead of treating everyone to your own special brand of unhappiness.
