330-12 set up in North Carolina - recommendations!

Post by lbray »

I have a new 330-12. I'd like to get the nut recut, trapeze bridge, 12-saddle bridge, general set-up. Is there someone in the North Carolina area that anyone here would recommend? Thanks!

I'm near Charlotte and I take my guitars to Smiling Moon Guitars, Kevin Marshall. He's a perfectionist so it will be done right there.

I can do it, if you feel like a road trip to Atlanta.

Nick & Craig @ the NC guitar works (beside the Filmore) in Charlotte do great work. They're really good nut cutters too! Nick did a great job setting up my V64-12. It was like a new guitar (better) when I got it back. Perfect intonation which is hard to get on a Ric 12 with the regular bridge.

I have heard good things about Kevin Marshall too but I've been going to NC guitar works for a long time and never been disapointed. My other guitars are Gibson & they REALLY know them. The bone nuts they cut for mine are amazing.
