4001 truss rod nuts

Does anyone here know if the truss rod nuts that Rickenbacker currently sells will fit a 4001? These are the specs:

NUT 8-32 x 3/8 LEN TRUSS ROD A



Part Number 06101

The TRN's in my 79 4001 are really chewed up and rounded off, they look the same as the one's above but I'm not sure if 4001's have 8-32's. If they're not does anyone have a set of decent ones they'd like to sell? Or does anyone know the specs if they don't fit? Thanks.

Nope, they are 10/32. There was a guy on ebay selling the early style nuts. I'm pretty sure you can also find them at a hardware store.

Hey thanks a lot Sepp, I just bought two sets on ebay from rickysounds

They also sell old style replacement 4001 truss rods and other assorted 4001 parts and strings, pretty cool.

I just received the truss rod nuts from rickysounds out of Great Britain, they are an exact replica and it looks like they have a lot more 4001 parts, including 4001 truss rods. They are exclusively Rickenbacker, very cool website:
