and thanks for all your helpful responses! Good point on saying I might just have the wrong bass haha, but I've come to love the HB1 pickups! I'm normally much more of a trebly guy and like my bass to sound as much like a lead guitar as possible, but I'm getting sued to these pickups and sound :)

Dane, if I ever need a mod I'll let you know :) cheers! Sorry to be a pain but in your post you mention stuff like these pots and uFs and whathaveyounot, can you simplify this for me? Sorry! I'm not as clued up as your average player when it comes to specs like this :)

Bassicaly.......What you have in your control cavity chokes off your basses top end and clarity, and what I build restores it.... :wink:
