I have a Badass on a P-bass, excellent ! big improvement on a Fender. Seems like your mind is made up about not putting it on the Ric, good decision ! I do like the sound of these Hipshot replacements though, are they available yet? Am I right in saying they will look like like a Ric bridge but will be fully adjustable ?

Luis, let me remind you, I told you we were fanatics over here !!!!

Keith, pictures I've seen of the new Hipshot show it to bee an almost identical shape and size to the original.

Jim, actually I expected just a couple of people responding. When I got home at 3 am, there were like 14 posts. Amazing!

Luis ... it is your bass ... just because we don't like the badass doesn't mean you shouldn't install it ...

I have a Bad *** Bridge installed on my '92 4003. I bought it that way. I really do not hear an "improvement" of the sound of this bass in comparison to my other Rock basses.

How about your non Rock basses? How does it compare to your Bubblegum basses (see discusion in The Others) or perhaps your Jazz basses. Image

No, I think that is where they play an Ashbory rubberband string bass!

I heard a rumor that the reason that Ric did not do a Geddy Lee signature model was that they would not make a ric bass with the bad *** bridge ...

We've never discussed doing a Geddy Lee model with him or any representative of his. But if we ever did, this would certainly be a sticking point, as well as his limited edition done with another manufacturer.

There's better boards to post rumors at, by the way.

Why would you build a Rolls Royce and then put in PVC seats .....
