1967 vintage toaster rewind

I have a vintage bridge toaster out of my 1967 330/12 that is dead and needs a rewind.

Lollar does not do rewinds any more.

Waiting for response from Seymour Duncan.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I've heard Tom Brantly does good work. i've never dealt with him, but others here have.

I've had some rewound by Jerry Sentell. Good prices, fast turnaround, wound to your spec.

Ask if Sergio Silvas is still doing rewinds. He's in Portugal but you'd be surprised how affordable it is and shipping isn't expensive. I've had great experiences

I've had Tom Brantley do some pick up work for me on my Rickenbacker's and he's always been great. He is a wiz with just about every pick up and he really knows the Rickenbacker line, even 4002's! He fixed a dead 1972 toaster for me and did some work on my `1977 4002 pups. He is in North Carolina and he he has a website as well as a Facebook page.

Lower yet. My toaster that is 3.6K sounds incredible. Yes, the output is on the low side but my amp can more than make up for that for the glorious tone the pickup provides.

You mean, folks can't do it themselves like I did, unwrapping my 14kohm high-gains down to a usable 7 to 8 kohm or so? Oh - and in the intervening years, I now have bifocals, so I won't be doing that again anytime soon!

Could very well be, along with all that flux smoke from soldering the wire connections!
