Kinda quiet
Seems kinda quiet around here since they did some server work. Just checking to see if posting works.

No, the postings are not working; as a matter of fact I can't even see this one you just posted!
Re: Kinda quiet
I was thinking there wasn't much going on, either! January blues and all that...

It looks pretty white out my window!
Perhaps everyone is waiting for all the big announcements at the NAMM Show from every manufacturer there that will make us open our wallets, in the meantime we just sit patiently for next week to arrive.

My Feb '74 4001 clean up/refret is expected back very soon. I'll make sure I start a thread on that!

So, what is Rickenbacker gonna roll out at winter NAMM, maybe a 4001v68, with checkerboard binding, crushed pearl inlays, toaster, horsey???

Ditto, indeed. I'd have to be in line with Sepp, if all the appointments were correct. Sepp, if the treble pup is unsuitable, just pick up a Lollar HS. You can move it around the herd, on an 'as needed' basis (basses). If not a V68....maybe we'll party like its (RM)1999.

Well, only if you're trying to get a lot of projects done around the house and come across that inevitable thing you need from the hardware store only to realize the store won't be open for 10 more days...woodyng wrote:Wow....you say that like it's a bad thing.....cjj wrote:Aw heck, it's the middle of Summer and the whole country is shut down and on Holiday!

Mmmh, at least you got stores now in NZ, were there some in Montana at all?cjj wrote:[

Re: Kinda quiet
Yeah, there were some, but the best ones were 5 hours away. Of course, you could mail order just about anything and get it in a couple of days. Not so here in NZ, lots of things you just can't get. You can order them from the U.S., but it takes a couple of weeks. Still, it's often cheaper to buy from the U.S. and pay the shipping than to get a similar (often lower quality) item locally...xpitt wrote:Mmmh, at least you got stores now in NZ, were there some in Montana at all?cjj wrote:[
