New 4003S!

Post by NFB-418 »

Very happy to have taken delivery of a 4003S FG. Dave's Guitar in La Crosse is an awesome place to get your Ricks.

Congrats Jay, I've got on of these in FG as well,
Just love the way they are shaping the upper horn and the headstocks lately. And that Carribbean Rosewood(or Rastafarian Bubinga, whatever they call it!) is really nice as well!

That 4003S looks wonderful, Jay. 8) Love the CR fingerboard figuring on it, in particular. :)

The whole bass is beautiful, the fingerboard especially so. I've seen some really stunning fingerboards on recent 4003s, but I think this is the best one yet.
Turn on, tune up, rock out!

Not only is that Chechen fingerboard exquisite, that's one of the nicest Fireglo finihes I've seen on a recent Rick - a few tend to have a too hard defined line between the red and the amber, whereas this beauty has a more gradual transition between the colours and is very smart.

I'd agree about the FG, they are spraying the best FG I've seen in awhile!

Exactly my thought. This is one very beautiful FG.

I hope mine would come from the same batch (wishful thinking).

Nice! I bought one much like yours from Wildwood a few weeks ago and I'm loving it. Only Ric bass I've owned that hasn't needed any set up work at all out-of-the-box (though Wildwood probably poked at it a bit before it came to me). I am planning to post a review when I have more time.
