Re: Famous Players Rickenbacker and Gretsch
Played Ricks since 87, bought my first Gretsch
this year, a G5420T, made in Taiwan, but
superbly built and not far from the Japanese
expensive versions, mind you if I was paying
Japanese Gretsch money I'd be buying a Rickenbacker!!
No where near as nice to play as my 88 340
but good fun and a relatively cheap dip in the
water.

Seeing as we've revived this thread... slightly!... I'll just point out that 'that guy' Kevin Shields played Fender Jazzmasters primarily with a bit of Jaguar.shiraz wrote:
Didn't that guy in My Bloody Valentine use both?

Re: Famous Players Rickenbacker and Gretsch
Peter Buck apparently has a Gretsch, maybe seen in this video

not sure if it has been on record though.

He used to get one out during live shows in the later decades for one song or so. It can be seen on the live DVDs from the noughties.kt66 wrote:Peter Buck apparently has a Gretsch, maybe seen in this video
