You could try North Coast Music for the best of both worlds. They offer several Vox amps with U.K. Blue Celestion speakers. Bought one of their AC15C1 with the UK speaker and the birch baffle and it is the bomb, especially with my 370/12. It rocks my other electrics too. No affiliation, just a satisfied customer.

+ 1!!!

First of all, the noise issues I was experiencing with my AC15C1 disappeared shortly after I wrote about them in this thread. Second, I bought my AC15 from North Coast Music, where, for a reasonable fee, they agreed to remove the stock Celestion Greenback speaker and replace it with a real Alnico Blue. I couldn't be happier with the sounds I'm getting from the amp: jangle and shimmer from my RIC's, great clean blues tones from my Strat, and deep, rich jazz sounds from my Guild X-170. And the amp cost me $150 less than a Fender '65 Reissue Deluxe Reverb! 8) 8) 8)

This is my 63, built in top boost,AC30,

I used to get it serviced in Dartford/Jennings until the 90s. Now recently bought back to life and sounds amazing, still has blue speakers, Mullard valves,

I got it in 86, before then it was in Lulu's band, due to touring the cab broke so Jennings rebuilt it in a JMI cab, The controls are round the correct way, and it has proper handles on the side

When I got it it was all black, and I got the old JMI shop/factory (that was then a DJ/Lights hire shop) to put in the Vox cloth and badge (much to their dismay). I also like the flush controls.

So it looks weird, even wrong, but it sounds amazing and definitely unique, I wouldn't sell it for anything, although I do think Ricks sound best through good Fender amps like Twin
For those interested it is a tiny bit larger than an AC30 72cmx52cmx26.5cm

Does that sort of thing occur frequently?

Yes and no. I occasionally receive radio signals through my Vox amp, and the ceiling fan seems to create hum. Also, I very consistently receive terrible squeal when I use my Janglebox through the Vox. So, in answer to your question, yes, I have some periodic issues with my music room.

Got cha', but I was speaking (writing) in more general terms.

Do the radio signals come through with nothing but the guitar plugged in? Or, while using the JB? I take it the ceiling fan is on a dimmer/speed control? That will create hum, especially if the control is not set to full speed (ahead). The squeal may be partly due to the treble boost, perhaps, on the JB.
