Don't know who wrote that caption, but that is NOT PM "peeking through" in that photo. Look closely and you'll see that it isn't him.

And the guy over Bart's right shoulder looks a lot like George, but...
Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
We'll be talking about and listening to music from the pre-Beatles British music scene today in class. Lionel Bart, Bert Weedon, 2-Is, Shadows, Move It, Joe Meek, Joe Brown and so much more! From recently getting into Lulu, I've learned a lot more about women artists of the day, so we'll get more into that as well.
We check out fashion trends from the era and usually watch trailers from Absolute Beginners and Leather Boys. The era is one of my favorite subject areas and it's always an easy time to get mired down and fall behind in the curriculum. I hope you don't mind if I use some photos from your collecting. I haven't done before, because I don't intend to take advantage of others work, but they're just some of the best and I know where to find them. I'll give credit! As always, thanks for posting!

Speaking of Lulu.....

Another attendee at the party was 19-year-old singer/actress Lulu. Lulu had recently made a splash in the movie To Sir With Love, and she had a hit record with the title song. Lulu was a friend of the Beatles and she came dressed as a Shirley Temple-type little girl, complete with a curly blond wig and a huge lollipop.
LuluAfter hours of watching John ignore his wife and drool over Patti Harrison, Lulu got fed up and finally let loose. As John was sitting, Lulu stood over him and gave him a very severe scolding, right in front of everyone. Incredibly, John Lennon, who feared no man (or woman) just sat there, timidly, and let Lulu berate him.
"How dare you ignore Cyn? How dare you stare at Patti like that right in front of your wife?" The exact words Lulu used are not recorded, but they are very easy to imagine.

Thanks Brammy! And I remember that Lulu quote. I'm liking her music and attitude more and more. A lot of her Decca stuff was great, some not so, but what a voice. I love her version of "The Man Who Sold the World."

nice one!.... go Ringo go!
Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
That last picture looks like Paul's playing on the same type of piano he used for the Hey Jude shoot. Very distinctive sound.
