wanted: 1 x Black plastic tuning peg bushing for 4001

I've changed the truss rod cover on my '77 4001 to gold plexi, but the cover is a different shape to the molded plastic one and thus sits on one of the tuner bushings.

If I had a spare one, I'd take a nick out of it so the truss rod sits flat, but I don't want to hack into the current bushing and devalue the bass.

Interesting. I don't recall ever seeing a plexi TRC in gold that said Model 4001 on it. Where did this come from? And the white or black ones I have seen are smaller to avoid that very issue from occurring.

It's a fairly poor homemade job, printed on a clear transparency sprayed with a rattle can of gold paint by myself.

Looks fine from 3 feet, but up close, or when you remove it from the head stock, it looks exactly like what it actually is.

The cover that sits on top of the transparency is 3 mm acrylic shaped after my '66 Rose, Morris 1998 but I never considered the bushings until after I already did the work.

I think it's easier to modify a bushing (if I can find one) than to have to start from scratch again.

You could modify the TRC, as that was a pretty common thing to see in the'50s & '60s.
