IS THAT FIREGLO??? Of course, Fireglo was standard with white binding and plastic. Was this one refinished at some time? In the new edition of the book (coming this summer), I have a shot of a 4003 Fireglo with black binding, plastic, and HARDWARE as a true "reverse trim" option, but yours appears to be a 4001 (shedua center strip is diagnostic) with black binding on body AND neck which is unusual for a 4001. Usually, 4001 with black body binding has white neck binding. Do you have any more info on this one?

This one did not start its life out this color. It was originally White with black binding and had yellowed. But not in a nice even good looking way. So it has been refinished and refretted by a shop in Chicago. Paint is fresh. Its a unique Amber Fireglo. Darker deeper red which I love

They did a beautiful job, that's a great looking finish.(and niiice rare black plexi trc, too!)
The only thing i would add would be a bezel to fill in that bridge pickup hole. (Black or chrome).
Congrats!

Yeah, I like it too, but I had to check. The combination for that model just didn't jibe with the history. 8)

I tought it was the famous "historic FG, black trim" version that we all knows but even more rare because lefty
But she's a real beauty. That paint job seems very good, because the ambered FG is very pleasing to my eyes
