4003SW
I said I'd never buy another one, but that only lasted about 5 years. I ordered this from Guitar Center and picked it up last Friday. I liked this setup when they came out and got a really good coupon from Guitar Center so I ordered it. I didn't know it was an oil finish until I got it, but it reminds me of the 650S I had a while back, so I'm okay with it. The box it came in was sent to MFI, so I guess Musician's Friend and Guitar Center share the same stock on these.

Mazel Tov, Ryan. Great looking bass.
Re: 4003SW
Lightweight too, right?
Re: 4003SW
It is the lightest one I have. I don't know if it is just the walnut wings, or something else, but it is a noticeable difference.
Re: 4003SW
Same here. Ric specs the weight of my 4003W at 9 lbs, same as other 4003 models, but it is noticeably lighter than my others.
Re: 4003SW
I love it, it's on my wishlist. Congrats !
Re: 4003SW
I lasted 3 weeks before I took the treble pickup cover off. Try as I might, I just don't like them. I also found that a random allen wrench was included with it. I guess I'll throw that one in my tool box.
Re: 4003SW
That allen wrench wouldn't possibly fit the adjustable pole pieces on the pickups, would it?nukebass wrote:...I also found that a random allen wrench was included with it. I guess I'll throw that one in my tool box.
Re: 4003SW
I assumed it was for that when i opened the packet, but it was definitely too small for the pole pieces.

As I recall, the small Allen key is for the bridge-height adjustment screws.
