Hello to all!
Just wanted to introduce myself and say hello to all! I am an "over the hill" Ric player (54). I had gotten out of music some years ago but found that I couldn't "stay out". When I made the decision to "return", I immediately bought myself a 4003 Midnight Blue and haven't looked back! I use an Ampeg rig (SVT5Pro with a now discontinued PR8X10). My Wife recently supplemented my gear with a new American Deluxe Jazz QMT for Christmas. Both these fine basses have pretty much cured GAS...yeah right! Anyway that's my story and I'm sticking to it!! Glad to be here, guys! Looks like a pretty good source of Info!

hey guys ... over the hill is a state of mind and not age ... I am 50 and I am more on top of my game playing bass than I was in my youth ...

Thanks for the welcome guys! I never really felt "over the hill" per se...just old. Naw...not really! Actually, I absolutely agree that playing keeps us young. I hadn't played in a group for many years and I noticed that after joining up with this bunch of "old farts", I immediately began to feel like a kid again. All in all, pretty cool! Thanks again guys!
