Ronn,
I live in Oregon, so going to Southpaw would be like going to Mecca for me. The idea of going into a store with walls full of guitars that I can actually play is mind blowing. I'm actually coming to Dallas for a conference in a couple of weeks, but the meeting agenda is full, and I understand that Southpaw would be a pretty long drive, so won't be able to make the trip.
I've talked to Jimmy and some of the other guys quite a few times in the past 10 years, but due to geography I have to settle for using them as a mail order service. The first 5 years I knew about them I hesitated to buy a guitar that I had never actually seen or play. When I had a great experience with them buying my accoustic back in 2000 that left me feeling very confident in working with them to get my Ric.
I don't know if I've ever seen another lefty player (live) playing a Rickenbacker guitar, although I've seen more lefty Ric bass players.
I feel priveledged to be in such an elite group of musicians!

Jim,
It's too bad my company already made may travel arrangements....I've got no room on the front end or the back end of my trip to drive to Austin from Dallas...just tiem for business...bummer! That just means I'll have to postpone my trip to the lefty guitar Mecca a little bit longer.
Besides, I don't know how well I'd handle being overwhealmed with a whole store full of guitars I can actually pick up and play...and not to have to settle for the one mexican strat or Yamaha accoustic that seems to be the standard lefty choice in most guitar stores I've been to.
I wall of lefty Rickenbackers at Southpaw!! Wow! I'd need to wear a large drule bucket around my neck...
